A client had a personal project for me to do a portrait of Bob Marley. I took the opportunity to use the hatchy style from the trees and water towers prints, but, this time drawing it digitally as opposed to doing it in ink. Although I don’t think it necessarily looks any more digital than the others, I like how it turned out.

The Green Paper, a local newspaper about being nice to the environment, had me paint one of their boxes. Inspired by the children’s book, The Giving Tree, I turned the box into an abstract tree trunk.
Squares!

A fun little iPhone game that needed some graphics. The first thing was to come up with 3 colors that logically implied good, not so good, and bad. I made a few different sets of faces just to add variety: Dweebs, Monsters, Anime, and Curmudgeons.

New York Water Towers

I can honestly say I miss New York….or miss some things about it. The Northwest and I are far more compatible. But I had a good fling with the big city. Even taking into consideration all the museums, galleries, world attractions of various kinds, the thing I miss most is the sunset on the rickety old rooftop water towers.

I must have been hungry when I came up with the record stack for DJ Linus. I also added a nod to drippy-paint logos, which abound in Hip Hop, by applying the syrup to the lettering.
