Happy Udder
Posted in DESIGNReason 2 Ride is a series of bike races that raises money for various charities. The Utah series is referred to as the “udder” (UTRR – UT Reason to Ride)Â so I was asked to do something that combined cows and bikes, not a common request. I decided to do a disembodied cow udder — on a bike — crossing the finish line.
Microsoft Career Finder
Posted in DESIGNMicrosoft wanted a Facebook app to help students create custom avatars, based on their career skills and attributes. The avatar is built up from various stickers that get peeled off of sticker sheets and placed on the blank avatar. The logo is a briefcase with an implied “M” for Microsoft.

A client had a personal project for me to do a portrait of Bob Marley. I took the opportunity to use the hatchy style from the trees and water towers prints, but, this time drawing it digitally as opposed to doing it in ink. Although I don’t think it necessarily looks any more digital than the others, I like how it turned out.

The Green Paper, a local newspaper about being nice to the environment, had me paint one of their boxes. Inspired by the children’s book, The Giving Tree, I turned the box into an abstract tree trunk.
Squares!
Posted in DESIGNA fun little iPhone game that needed some graphics. The first thing was to come up with 3 colors that logically implied good, not so good, and bad. I made a few different sets of faces just to add variety: Dweebs, Monsters, Anime, and Curmudgeons.
